Diaz Gets Revenge on Masvidal in Boxing Match
Five Years in the Making
After nearly five years, Nate Diaz finally got his revenge on Jorge Masvidal in a professional boxing match Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Aggressive Start
Diaz came out swinging early, but Masvidal quickly turned the aggressor. Diaz continued to move forward and throw at a high volume, but Masvidal was able to land the more effective punches.
In the fifth round, Diaz threw a combination that closed with a left hook that sent Masvidal to the canvas. Masvidal was able to get up, but Diaz continued to press the attack and eventually knocked Masvidal down again.
The referee stopped the fight in the seventh round, giving Diaz the victory by TKO.
