Larson Finishes Indy 500, Heads to Charlotte for Coca-Cola 600
Larson's Indy 500 Finish
NASCAR star Kyle Larson had an eventful day at the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. Despite starting 25th, Larson worked his way up to the top 10 by the halfway point of the race. He then ran as high as third before settling into fifth place for the majority of the second half of the race. Larson was running in fourth place when the final caution came out with just over 10 laps to go. He pitted for new tires and restarted in seventh place. Larson quickly moved back up to fourth and was running in third when the race came to a restart with just two laps to go. He made a bold move to the outside of Takuma Sato on the final lap, but Sato blocked his pass, and Larson had to settle for a fourth-place finish.
Headed to Charlotte for Coca-Cola 600
Larson will now head to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600, which is the longest race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. Larson is a two-time winner of the Coca-Cola 600, and he will be looking to add another win to his resume this weekend. Larson is currently second in the Cup Series standings, and a win at the Coca-Cola 600 would put him in a strong position to win the championship.
